The Kenton Willys Knight Sedan

Willys  was an American car manufacturer founded in 1908 by Mr. John Willy. He had purchased the Overland Automotive Division of the Standard Wheel COmpany, and renamed it in 1912. At the time (1912-1918), the company was the second largest producer of automobiles in the USA, after Henry Ford (Ford Motor Company). In 1913, the company obtained a license to build the Charles Knight sleeve-valve engine which then was used in the automobiles having the name of Willys-Knight. There is a more elaborate narrative at the wikipedia website, from which I wrote this material. (Please click here for more information at Wikipedia)

What led me to write about this particular car is the fact that the last item is current for sale for the November  auction. It is described as"very elusive" (rare), and so I wanted to read more about the real car and the models that had been sold for auction in the last 9 years.

So that's it for a possibly rainy day here in Montreal,Quebec (Canada).

Thanks for droppinng by,
and have a great part of the day or night,
wherever you may be.
