A Rare Toy Truck Comes to
I was searching for toys on the Selkirk Auctions & Appraisers excellent website
for toys, when I found a toy whose manufacturer, I had never heard of.

The name is The Burdette-Murray Co. I tried to find information about the company,
but couldn't find much.They only made this toy truck, which was made in 1923.
The toy truck was based on the famous American White Motor Company truck.

Dimensions: Height x Width x Length
10 3/4" x 8 1/4" x 28"
27.3 cm x 21 cm x 71.1 cm
"American, 1920's. Ink stamped to the bottom. Open cab with rarely seen
hydrolic (crank) system to the dump bed,"White" on both running boards,
original rubber still on the steel wheels."
I'm sure children way back a century ago must have enjoyed playing with such
a large-sized toy. And whomever bought this toy at action will enjoy
having bought it. And maybe, just maybe, I can picture the new owner playing with this
wonderful toy!
