A Return to Visit
Mr. Paul Koo
It's been a long time since I wrote to Mr. Paul Koo.
That was on December 18, 2013! Wow, how time flies by! Back then, I had found a new company by the name of Pocher, and I was very excited to find someone, about whom I might write about. I searched on ebay for something, and up came Pocher kits. I never heard of Pocher before, and when I read about the company, and saw these marvellous kits being sold, I had to write to the company and ask for permission to write.
I wrote, and I received a fast reply from Mr. Paul Koo. I had received his permission, and I was elated! I was so excited, that I created 3 posts for Paul Koo!
For those of you who don't know, the Pocher Company was created by
Mr. Arnaldo Pocher in 1966 and stayed in business from 1966-2000. The company closed, and was purchased by Hornby Railways, a well-established
and fine company who manufacturers railway trains and accessories.
Pocher is no ordinary toy kit company. The scale (size of the toy) are larger than most other model assembly kits. Kits can go up and above $ 1000.00 US Dollars.
You have to be very careful when you assemble these models.
Paul has created DVD-ROMs with instructions for assembling Pocher auto kits.
Over time, the Pocher cars have changed, thus new instructions and parts
have been created for the people who like to buy and assemble these special kits to assemble.
Paul has created updated discs to assemble these new versions. The discs come with many intricate instructions and drawings. While I was writing this post, I decided to do a search for "how many parts does a Pocher kit have?"
have been created for the people who like to buy and assemble these special kits to assemble.
The answer through Google search was this:
"What makes Pocher so Iconic?
These premium quality kits
contain over 800 parts made from a
range of materials including metal, rubber,
textiles and premium. quality plastic."
AHA!
Now I was starting to understand what all the interest was about
the Pocher company.
It's certainly a beautiful model,
Paul not only has instructional discs to help people assemble
these fine models, but he also has parts for them as well.
The composite photo below shows a special kit that Paul
has designed to enhance the look of a Pocher Dugati motorcycle.
The kit is titled:
Paul Koo Hardware Kit for Pocher
1/4 motorcycle kit HK107 Ducati 1299 Panigale S
As you can see, these model kits are of of a very high caliber
and quality when it comes to model kits.
So that's it for today.
Thanks for dropping by,
and as always,
Have a great part of the day or night,
wherever you may be.
