Can Anyone Help to Identify
This Cast Iron Messerschmitt?

I haven't been blogging lately, but fortunately, from time to time, I get letters from toy collectors who have questions. Mr. Ted Wesselo from Holland (The Netherlands) wrote to me to ask if I could identify his toy. I wrote back for more information such as the dimensions of the toy. Ted replied and sent me several more photos.

The toy measures 13. 5 cm x 10 cm (5.31 inches x 2.54 inches), and the height of the spring holding the plane is 7.12"). It is also made of cast iron.

I'm not sure if the toy is European, since cast iron toys were very rare in Europe, compared with the USA.

So, if someone out there can please help out,
Ted and I would be very appreciative.

As always, please take care,
especially during this most-terrible
Covid-12 pandemic.

Have a nice day,

Hello. First, does anyone know for sure, if Buddy K toy reproduction parts is still doing work or if not. Second, does anyone know anyone know who is making repro parts for the Large Buddy L toys, such as are pictured on the home page of OAT? Right now I need a cab shell, such is pictured.
Good luck on your Messerschmitt search.

Hello Colormepearl,

First of all, thanks for the inquiry, and sorry for the delay.
I found several sources that you might be interested in.

I did a search for "Buddy L Parts" with Google, and found many sources for you to check out:

May I suggest that you do the same search so that you will find what you are looking for.

1. Ebay with a search using "Buddy L Parts"
2. Gasolinealleytoys.com
3. thomastoysantiqueparts.com/t/buddy-l
4. classic-tin-toy-co.myshopify.com/search?q=Buddy+L
5. t-reproductions.com/parts-list-for-buddy-l-trainstrucks-tinplate/
