A Revisit to TinToyCar

I've been revisiting old blog posts in order to revisit them and write new blog posts.
One of these fine websites is TinToyColor.

For today's post, I decided to select  3 different types of toy motorcycles
and write about them.

The owner is Mr.Javier Hernandez, and he's an excellent merchant on ebay

Friction Tin Toy Motorcycle

This type of toy. requires you to move the wheels on the floor to create
a motion of the "motor" inside the toy. After 3-4 runs on the floor,
energy is buit up. You then place the toy on a wood floor, and the toy
moves by itself. When the power is used up, the toy comes to a halt.

Description
Bandai Meguro Japan 1950's BMW 500
Motorcycle Friction 12 inches (30.5 cm)

Windup Tin Toy Motorcycle

These type of toys requires you to turn a key that adds
energy to an inside metal spring coil. The tighter the coil is wound,
the more energy is saved, ad the farther the toy will travel.

Description:
Arnold CKAP Germany pre-war 30's A-754 Military Army Motorcycle.
Wind Up 7.50 inches (19 cm) original tin toy motorcycle.

Battery Operated Toy Motorcycle

This toy requites older-sized AA batteries to supply power.

Description:
Masudaya MT Japan 70's Space Scooter with Snoopy Dog
Battery  operated 9 inches (23 cm) original space tin and plastic toy

A New Discovery from a
Fine ebay Company

I was searching for toys on ebay, when I found a company by the name of
Marcapatito. The first thing that attracted my attention was the excellent photography. What also was interesting was the fact that he took plenty of photos to present the toys.

I saw one toy that caught my attention. It was a wind-up toy manufactured by
a company by the name of Cragstan from the USA. The company imported
wind-up toys from different Japanese companies in the 1950's-1960's.

A Revisit to a Chip Channel Restoration Part 1

A Revisit to Chip Channel Restorations
(Part I)

My last post about this exceptional craftsman (craftsperson) was  shorter than I thought. That was on November 16, 2021. Before that, I had written my first post on this very talented person about 10 years ago ,
who prefers  just be called Chip.

When you visit Chip's YouTube website, you come to an opening page of many of his presentations. They're exceptionally filmed (video-graphed) and even more, they're very interesting.  Ever more interesting is just how many viewers have seen his video productions on his restorations.

(In terms of viewers, we're talking in the millions of viewers).

I've screen-captured all of the images today from his video for this
Pressed Steel Toy.
Below is Chip's toy that was restored for that YouTube presentation.
It's a 1918 Structo Pressed Steel Wind Up
Tank Restoration Motorized Army Tank Toy

Chip always introduces his latest restoration with a restored tow truck
pulling the "wreck"to be restored and  revitalized.

To view this 143.01 minute production.
You'll need lots of popcorn to watch how
Chip works to revitalize these very old and damaged toys.

Above: A closer look at the tank.

Chip always starts his restorations by dismantling his latest toy.

Every single part of every toy is carefully removed and catalogued.

Once all of the toy parts have been removed, Chip will
decide which parts will be restored.
I have tools for working around the house, They're in a small room that I call "the Bunker". Actually, the first owner of our house was an oenophile (connoisseur) of wines.

Chip has a shop full of tools, and machines for cutting, welding, sanding,  painting and so forth. You name the tool or process for restoring a toy part, and he has it!

The screen-capture below illustrates what appears to be a welding job.
It's a wheel that will hold the tank tracks in place. What the photo shows is the 2 half parts that were separated, then sanded with different grades of sandpaper to remove all of the rust. Now they're being reassembled together.

Below are painted tank parts that hold the tracks together as the tank rolls along. They're in a preliminary stage, and will be finished and enhanced in the next photo.

Notice how the final paint finish is flawless
in terms of any dirt or bumps.

The tracks have most likely been placed in a liquid vat of
a metal finish through an electrolyte bath.
For a 1918 toy part (106 years old, er, "renewed" and restored)
they are super!

Below is a photo illustrating the superheating of a gear part.
The orange colour is not paint, but a super-heated part!

This photo below shows how the parts are reassembled.
I'm 100% sure that Chip has an excellent procedure
for keeping tract of all the parts of a toy for reassembly.

I remember how I used to sweat a lot when I'd assemble
a Revell airplane. Once I glued the two sides of a wing without the propellers
attached to the propellers.

The next instruction read
"do not assemble the 2 sides of the airplane wing,
until you have installed the 2 propellers!

Was I mad at myself!

You must visit Chip's YouTube productions. They're exceptional in terms of production, script and narrative.  But better still, is the magical skills that Chip has developed from many years of experience and hard work.

I'll be working on more posts in the near future, so if want to see more of Chip's
work, visit him on YouTube.

Just one final note:

Remember to go and eat your lunch and supper!

Once you start watching his magical toy restorations,
you might forget to eat!

Anyone Experiencing New Blogger Problems or Google Problems?

Saturday, July 20, 2024

Clouding Over With Rain

Anyone Experiencing New Blogger Problems or Google Problems?

In the last couple of weeks, I've been experiencing "Blogger or Google Issues".

Problem # 1

When I try to sign in and if I can actually sign in,
I started getting the screen-capture below:

What are "necessary cookies" all of a sudden, and what exactly does  Google want?
I have never had this problem before since I started blogging 14 years ago!

I can't continue with my blog writing, so I've gone to Safari, entered my Blog URL (address), and worked  was able to work on my blog that way.

Problem # 2

The second problem (below) has been happening for the last 3 weeks.
When I type in "blogger.com", I get the screen-capture below:

I don't know what they mean by "choose another account".
So what I've done is to use Safari as my search engine, and sign in from there.
that works!

Problem #3

Now if I can actually use Google and sign in,
I cannot "upload from computer" any photos.
Clicking on "upload from computer" does nothing,
and I cannot start writing the blog, and adding photos.

So what I do to solve the problem, is to use Safari
and simply drag the photos from my desktop to  the open blog post.

That is how I added the images in this post.

So if someone reads this post, could you please write to me at:

toysearcher@gmail.com

and tell me:

1. Why all of a sudden are cookies needed?

2.What are those cookies and what will they be used for by Google?

3. Why am I having problems uploading photos to my latest new blog post?

4. Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

5. Is there an actual web URL address for Blogger,
whereby I can ask questions and have them answered by a "live real person"
and not spend hours on the 'Net to try and find an answer?

6. Is there someone out there who has a blog about Blogger?

Thanks, as usual, for dropping by
and have a great part off the morning, daytime, or evening,
wherever you may be.

Thanking you in advance,

(Mr.) Stacey Bindman

C & T Auctioneers Valueers

If you follow my blog on a regulate basis, you'll know that I've been looking at past posts for the names of people and companies who have helped me out. From there, I am
writing new posts for them. Such is the case for C & T Auctioneers. However, I now can't find when I wrote a post for them. I've added their name for a search on my 1600++ posts, but nothing comes up now. Yesterday, I did find their old post - go figure!!!

Description:

0-gauge model railways."

Description:

Lucotte State Wedding Coach of the emperor Napoleon I with team of 8 horses,
Napoleon I,Marie-Louise of Austria, two Postillions, Coachman, and

As you can see, the photography is excellent. But what is more important is the written descriptions of the items that were being auctioned. I don't know much about the Heyde
lead figures company,  but the information provided by C & T Auctioneers Valueers
was well written and detailed.

So that's it for today,

Thanks for dropping by, and as always,
have a great part of the day or night,
wherever you may be.
