Cast Iron Coupe with Rumble Seat
(A.C.Williams ?)

     Today's presentation is a nice 1930's cast iron coupe with a rumble seat. It's perhaps an A.C.Williams car. It measures 6" (L) x 2  5/16" (W) x 2 1/2" (H) or  152mm x 61mm x64mm. In terms of price, these cars don't garner as high a price as the Hubley take-apart cars ,but nevertheless they're nice to collect.

Notice the nice texture in the seat back of the rumble seat.
Also, that small hole in the front fender is for a piece of cord or string.
A child would tie the cord to the hole and pull the car along the ground or sidewalk.

tThe unpainted metal parts have lasted very well considering the toy is more than 75 years old!

Notice the bolt head in the side of the door.

It's been cut flush (close to) the door, and then carefully hammered
to keep the 2 halves of cast iron together.

Fake "reproductions" will have a screw head that is cut,
whereas the "real" item has a smooth long bolt.

The week's almost over, and tomorrow is June already!

Thanks for dropping by,
and have a great weekend wherever you may be.
